In Dibru Saikhowa

Dibru-Saikhowa National Park is a national wildlife park in Tinsukia,
Assam, India with an area of 650 square km. Located at about 13 kms
north of Tinsukia town and about 515 kms from Guwahati and is
bounded by the Brahmaputra river and Arunachal hills in the north
and Dibru and Patkai hills on the south. Dibru Saikhowa National
Park is one of the nineteen biodiversity hotspots in the world. It
mainly consists of semi wet evergreen forests, tropical moist
deciduous forest, bamboo, cane brakes and grasslands. Situated in
the flood plains of Brahmaputra, at an altitude of 118 m above sea
level, Dibru-Saikhowa is a safe haven for many extremely rare and
endangered species of wild life including over 300 avifauna both
endangered and migratory, as well as various species of shrubs,
herbs and rare medicinal plants.
Birders are recommended to spend at least 4 - 5 days at Dibru
Saikhowa National Park to have a look at Malayan Night Herons,
Little, Cinnamon, Yellow and Black Bitterns, Black Necked Stroks,
Glossy Ibis, Comb Duck, Red Crested Pochards, Black Baza, Crested
Goshawk, Bonelli's Eagles, Pallas's, Grey headed and lesser Fish
Eagles, Eurasian Griffon, Swamp Francolin, Common and Sarus Crane,
Bengal Florican, River Lapwing, Lesser Sand Plover, Nordmann's
Greenshank, Long toed Stint, Pallas's Gull, Thick billed Green

Deer, Wild Boar, Indian Porcupine, Leopard Cats, Smooth Indian
Otter, Feral Horse and so on .
Birding In Manas

Situated at the elevation of 61 m from the sea level with the area
of 391 sq. km, has got its name from Manas river, which is named
after the serpent god Manasa. Manas National Park is a National
Park, UNESCO Natural World Heritage site, a Project Tiger Reserve,
an Elephant Reserve and a Biosphere Reserve in Assam, India. Located
in the Himalayan foothills with a part extends to Bhutan. The park
is well know for its rare and endangered wildlife which is not found
anywhere else in the world like the Assam Roofed Turtle, Hispid
Hare, Golden Langur and Pygmy Hog. The best season to visit Manas
National Park is from December to March. At this peak times the
checklist of Birds at Manas is approx 380 species of birds. Birder
can have look at Black Francolin, Rain and Blue breasted Quails,
Barred Buttonquail, Lesser Coucal,Grass owl, Bengal Bush Lark,

Birding In Kaziranga and Panbari

Kaziranga National Park is an Indian national park with an area of
378 sq. kms and a World Heritage Site in Golaghat and Nagaon
districts of Assam, India. It is refuge for the world's largest
population of Great One-horned Rhinoceros. Kaziranga has the highest
density of tigers among protected areas in the World. Kaziranga is a
vast stretch of tall elephant grass, marshland and dense tropical
moist broadleaf forests crisscrossed by four main rivers -
Brahmaputra, Diphlu, Mora Diphlu and Mora Dhansiri and has numerous
small water bodies
Kaziranga is recognized as an Important Bird Area by Birdlife
International for conservation of avifaunal species. Birders are
suggest to stay atleast 4 - 5 days and spend their time at this
